Katy Perry is showing — and ready to show off that baby bump!
Perry, 35, confirmed she and fiancé Orlando Bloom, 43, are pregnant this week, and made her first public appearance since the announcement on Saturday in Melbourne, Australia.
Rehearsing for a performance, the radiant "Never Worn White" singer proudly flaunted her belly in an eye-popping, form-fitting, colorful number that brought out the blue in her eyes.
On Sunday, the mom-to-be will sing at the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2020 final, featuring Australia vs. India. Fittingly, the match occurs on International Women's Day.
Katy will be a first-time mom when she gives birth this summer. Bloom is the father of 9-year-old son Flynn with his ex-wife, model Miranda Kerr.
Perry confirmed her pregnancy Wednesday evening during an Instagram Live session, terming it (see what we did there?) the "longest secret" she's ever had to keep. She said she and Bloom are "excited and happy" about their upcoming arrival, and also teased her next album by saying, "There’s a lot that will be happening this summer. Not only will I be giving birth — literally — but also figuratively to something you guys have been waiting for."
She said of the pregnancy, "I've just been trying to create this space in my own life where I'm not running myself too ragged and creating space for something new to happen like this. We were both looking forward to this new interval of life, and sharing this."
Katy and Orlando became engaged in February of last year, and had hoped to wed this June in Japan, but they've postponed the nuptials due to coronavirus fears.
