Colin Farrell Chooses Fatherhood over Dating: ‘I Have Not Dated for Four Years’
Actor Colin Farrell used to be known as a bad boy around Hollywood, dating A-listers from Britney Spears to Demi Moore, but now the father of two boys tells The Sunday Times, "I have not dated for, ooh, four years now. It's just not happening, what with the work, the kids and my life.
The 38-year-old added, "I know it's not what people expect to hear, but that's the honest truth.”
Farrell has two sons; James, 11, with model Kim Bordenave, and Henry, 5, with ex-wife Alicja Bachelda. They split in 2010.
"It's not about 'me, me, me, the loudmouth' any more -- and that takes the pressure off me to live up to those old expectations," Farrell said. "I have two boys that I'm so happy with and I adore."
Next up for the busy dad is starring as a “compromised detective” in season two of “True Detective,” returning June 21 on HBO. Farrell, along with Vince Vaugh, Rachel McAdams and Taylor Kitsch, take on a murder in the all-industrial City of Vinci in Los Angeles County.
