Country singer Chris Lane, 34, and “The Bachelor” alum Lauren Bushnell, 29, have sealed the deal!
On Friday, the couple tied the knot in Nashville in front of 160 of their close friends and family.
Lane told People magazine, “I’ve just looked forward to the day for quite some time, and I’m glad that it’s finally here. I feel like I’m the luckiest guy in the world to be marrying her.”
Bushnell added, “I feel like the luckiest girl. We both recognize what we have is special, and we feel very lucky.”
For their “secret garden” ceremony, the couple picked an industrial event space. Lauren explained, “I really wanted to incorporate a lot of green. Nashville is really green, and then I’m from Oregon so that’s kind of how I wanted it to feel. I wanted it to have a secret garden kind of feel — really romantic.”
Lauren, Chris, and their entire wedding party wore Olia Zavozina.
Some of the guests to attend included Jana Kramer and her husband, former NFL player Mike Caussin, fellow alums from “The Bachelor” Season 20, Amanda Stanton, Jen Saviano, and twins Haley Ferguson and Emily Ferguson.
Chris and Lauren chose his proposal song “Big, Big Plans” as their first dance song. She shared, “Chris wrote it, and it was inspired by our relationship, and it has such a special meaning to us, so I don’t think we could really dance to anything else.”
After dinner and dancing, guests were treated to a surprise Shake Shack truck. Lauren commented, “You’ve been dancing and you work up an appetite. So my ‘must’ was we had to have late-night snacks.”
Along with planning their honeymoon to Hawaii, they are getting ready to move into a home together in Nashville. He’s even thinking about kids! Chris dished, “We have a lot to look forward to. I’m praying for a long career in music. It’s something I’m very passionate about. To get to have somebody like Lauren as a best friend, just in life, is going to make it a million times better. There’s just so many firsts that we’ll experience — hopefully kids. Just the whole nine yards. I want all of that with her.”
Lauren gushed, “I’m sure I’ll only continue falling in love with him throughout those chapters. I’ll have him by my side, through thick and thin, the good and bad, the challenges and all of the excitement. Just being able to call him my husband through all of that is very exciting.”
The wedding comes three months after Chris popped the question. At the time, he told People magazine, “I knew she wouldn’t want some elaborate, crazy proposal. So, I decided to keep it pretty casual. I asked her parents for different places in Portland I could potentially take her to, but after a lot of thought I decided doing it at the family cookout would be the most laid-back setting and that she’d appreciate the simplicity of me proposing to her in her parents’ backyard.”
Weeks before his proposal, Chris told "Extra" Special Correspondent Alecia Davis, "I found the best girl in the world. I'm the happiest I've ever been. Life is good."
Lauren and Chris went public with their relationship in November at the 2018 Annual BMI Country Awards in Nashville. Chris’ rep told People magazine, “It’s brand-new and they are enjoying spending time together.”
The two had been flirting on Instagram for quite some time before their red-carpet debut.
Bushnell was previously engaged to Ben Higgins, who popped the question on the 20th season of “The Bachelor.” They ended their engagement in May 2017.
