Country star Thomas Rhett, 29, and wife Lauren have another baby on the way!
Waiting for your permission to load the Instagram Media.
On Tuesday, Rhett announced the baby news on Instagram, writing, “I feel so blessed to say that our third child is on the way and it's a girl!! I love you so much @laur_akins.”
He joked, “Excited to share that I will now be paying for 3 weddings😂.”
Rhett also showed some love for their two children Willa and Ada. He wrote, “WG and AJ, y'all are gonna be the best big sisters! Bring on the crazy."
Lauren also shared the same photo, noting, “We decided we didn't have enough princess dresses around the house so we're adding another Akins baby girl to the family early next year despite Thomas Rhett's initial shock (swipe to see video). We are absolutely over the moon for our baby girl!"
“Our girls cannot wait to meet their little sister,” Lauren added. “Willa Gray prays for her every night (heart in a puddle every time) & she and Ada James love to touch my belly and talk to her—especially bc I've been showing since I was SEVEN weeks."
Lauren also shared video from their gender reveal party.
Nick Jonas, Kelsea Ballerini, and Florida Georgia Line singer Brian Kelley were some of the celebrities to send their congrats to the expecting couple.
In the summer of 2017, Lauren gave birth to daughter Ada, just months after adopting Willa. At the time, Rhett shared a pic of his baby girl, writing, “Last night at 10:28 PM Ada James Akins was born and it was truly the most amazing thing I have ever experienced. I can't believe that we have two daughters!! My wife @laur_akins labored almost 36 hours😳She is by far the strongest human being I have ever met and I have a new found respect for moms around the world. We are so excited that Willa Gray has a baby sister! Thank you Lord and everyone for the prayers🙌🏼 #outnumbered."
The couple had tried to conceive for some time, but had given up. While in Tanzania on safari — after they'd already begun the process of adopting Willa Gray — Lauren discovered she was pregnant, telling People magazine the couple felt "more than blessed" at the news.
