Last night, Chris Evans and Jenny Slate reunited at the Los Angeles premiere of their film “Gifted.”
Though they split as a couple two months ago, they were still able to make it a friendly affair on the red carpet, even flashing smiles for the cameras.
Last month, Slate opened up on the split, telling Vulture, "We’re not on bad terms, but we haven’t really seen each other, spoken a lot. I think it’s probably best. I’d love to be his friend one day, but we threw down pretty hard. No regrets, though. Ever.”
Along with revealing that she had to watch “You’ve Got Mail” to get through the breakup, she gushed, "Chris is truly one of the kindest people I’ve ever met, to the point where sometimes I would look at him and it would kind of break my heart. His heart is probably golden-colored, if you could paint it.”
Chris also had wonderful things to say about his ex, telling People magazine, "She's so vulnerable, so honest, so interested in other people more than herself. She's incredibly compassionate. There's just nothing to not love about her.”
The two, who met on the set of “Gifted,” dated for less than a year before calling it quits. At the time, a source told Us Weekly, "It was completely amicable and a mutual decision due to conflicting schedules, and they remain close friends.”
