Bruce Jenner Sued for Wrongful Death in Malibu Car Crash
A wrongful death lawsuit has been filed against Bruce Jenner for the Malibu car crash that left one woman dead, reports TMZ.
The suit, filed by the stepchildren of victim Kim Howe, claims that Jenner was “careless and negligent.”
According to the complaint, Jenner's car hit Howe's Lexus, causing it to be pushed into oncoming traffic. Howe died after her car collided with a Hummer after being hit by Jenner.
The suit, which also lists 50 anonymous defendants, reads, “The defendants and each of them were also otherwise careless, negligent and/or otherwise responsible in causing the death of decedent and damage to her effects,” adding that Howe's death “caused plaintiffs to suffer enormous damages and losses.”
A source close to Howe told TMZ that the two stepchildren had virtually no relationship with her, and any damages they claim for her loss might be extremely hard to prove. Howe had no other living relatives.
The L.A. County Sheriff's Dept. is still investigating the crash.
