Sheriff’s Office Releases Prince's Death Investigation Records
The Carver County Sheriff's Office has released records related to their investigation of Prince's death in April 2016.
Records include 911 transcripts, search warrants, and video from the death scene.
The news comes after Carver County Attorney Mark Metz announced no criminal charges would be filed following the investigation.
In a statement, Metz's office said Prince died from “an overdose of fentanyl,” adding that “evidence suggests that Prince took counterfeit Vicodin containing fentanyl.”
The statement continued, “In all likelihood, Prince had no idea he was taking potentially lethal counterfeit pills.”

One video, showed Prince entering a doctor's office on April 20, 2016. He was found dead at his Paisley Park estate the next day.
