Barry Dennen Dead at 79

“Jesus Christ Superstar” actor Barry Dennen has passed away at the age of 79.
Deadline reports Dennen died Tuesday morning at a Burbank hospice.
His close friend Lucy Chase Williams confirmed his death to the site, saying he had suffered a brain injury after a fall in June.
Along with playing Pontius Pilate in the stage (1970) and film (1973) versions of “Jesus Chris Superstar," he also appeared in the films "Fiddler on the Roof" (1971), "The Shining" (1980), "Trading Places" (1983) and “Titanic" (1996).
Dennen is survived by his sons Timothy and Barnaby.
