Hilary Duff & Matthew Koma Engaged — See Her Ring!

On Thursday, the 31-year-old announced that they were engaged. Along with a pic of her engagement ring, she wrote on Instagram, “He asked me to be his wife♥️.”

Matthew shared the same photos, adding, “I asked my best friend to marry me... @hilaryduff.”

It looks like the proposal took place in New York City, since both tagged the city as their location. It would make sense, since she is currently in the city filming her series “Younger.”

The engagement comes six months after they welcomed daughter Banks. The day before, Hilary revealed that she had stopped breastfeeding Banks, explaining, “I am a working mom of two… Pumping at work sucks. I had zero down time and am usually pumping in a hair and make up trailer while four hands work to get me ready for the next scene with lots of other people around. Even if I had the luxury to be in my own room, it's not even considered a 'break' because you have to sit upright for the milk to flow into the bottles!”

While she kept it real about the hardships of breastfeeding, she emphasized, “I want to say I enjoyed (almost) every moment of feeding my daughter. Felt so lucky to be so close to her and give her that start. I know many women are not able to and for that I am sympathetic and very grateful that I could. For six wonderful months.”

Matthew reacted to the post, writing, “My hero.”

In September last year, rumors started swirling that Hilary and Matthew were engaged after she was seen wearing a ring on that finger. It turned out to be nothing more than a sponsored post.

Before she gave birth to Banks, "Extra" spoke with Hilary, who gushed over her man. She said, “He's so sweet," adding that she knew he would be a great dad.

She shared, “He is such a sensitive guy, too — he is going to be amazing. We are obviously going to have different ways of doing things, but that is where the growth comes in.”

The couple made their relationship official in early 2017, even attending Entertainment Weekly's pre-SAG Awards party together. Though they broke up months after, they rekindled their romance in the fall that year.

At that time, Duff opened up on their relationship during an appearance on “The Talk.” She dished, “It's going so great. I mean, this is the third time that we've dated… Timing is such a big deal… Third time's a charm!”

“I think that you have history and a past with someone and love, and just because it doesn't work out the first time, the second time, as long as there's not too much damage done, then, it can always work out again,” she noted.

A source told E! News, “Hilary quickly went back to spending a lot of time with Matthew. They've been spending almost their entire weekends together. Hilary loves how effortless it is with him and that they always have a good time no matter what they're doing."
