'The Big Lebowski' Actor Jon Polito Dead at 65
Jon Polito, a prolific character actor known for his roles in Coen Brothers films like "Miller's Crossing" (1990) and "The Big Lebowski" (1998), has died of cancer at 65.
Polito had over 200 credits on IMDb, including memorable guest roles on "Seinfeld" and, more recently, on "Modern Family." He also had extensive experience onstage, appearing on Broadway with both Faye Dunaway (in 1982's "The Curse of an Aching Heart") and Dustin Hoffman (in the acclaimed revival of "Death of a Salesman" in 1985).
He is the second "Big Lebowski" veteran to die recently, following David Huddleston's death in August.
Polito is survived by his husband, Darry Armbruster.
