JoJo Fletcher Gives an Update on Her Wedding Plans: ‘We Will Get Married No Matter What!’
JoJo Fletcher stepped in for “The Bachelorette” host Chris Harrison this week, and today she joined “Extra’s” Rachel Lindsay to talk about the episode and dish on her upcoming wedding to Jordan Rodgers.
With the pandemic still looming, JoJo told Rachel, “You know, I got reminded today that our new wedding day is actually six months away, and that came as a shock to me because I couldn’t believe that it’s SIX months away we’re getting married. Our new day is May of next year, and who knows what the state of our country and this world will look like, and I’m hoping at that point we are able to celebrate.”
She continued, “I think that Jordan and I have decided, like, if it’s not going to work out to have this huge, extravagant wedding that we really have dreamed up, we’ll still do it on our own, together.”
Smiling, Fletcher added, “Rachel, we’ve been engaged — it will be five years by our new wedding day. If we have to push it another year — six years, crazy — we will get married no matter what!”
JoJo talked about getting the call to take over for Chris, explaining, “I was totally thrown off. I was not expecting it, and honored that they thought of me to do this... It was so much fun… But I was nervous.”
She shared, “When you go in as Chris, you know you have to deliver.”
JoJo was also there for all the jaw-dropping confessions from Tayshia’s suitors. Rachel commented, “These men are being so vulnerable and honest, you know; we saw Ben sit there and talk about what he went through with his eating disorder for 10 years.”
JoJo said, “I’m honestly just amazed by these guys.” She went on, “They didn’t have to do it that soon. These conversations often happen a little bit further along, so I’m with you in the sense that a lot of these guys are really just putting themselves out there. And I’m amazed by it. I’m impressed. I think it takes a huge level of maturity and, like, self-awareness and confidence.”

View StorySo who does JoJo think is a front-runner? “So, here are my thoughts. I actually did get to meet the guys,” she said. “I didn’t spend a ton of time one-on-one with them, obviously, but I did get to observe, and I feel like just based off of the last episode, I have my top three in my head.”
She continued, “I really love Ivan. I feel like they have a wonderful connection. I think he’s definitely a wonderful guy and I see that relationship developing more. I think, after Zac’s date with her, their connection is strong. I think that that is going to be a front-runner and… we can tell she’s very attracted to Ben.”
Rachel agreed, saying, “Those are mine, and then I have to add Brendan because the way she reacted to Brendan when she went on that first date with him. She even said she was like, ‘I’m done, I can go home,’ and I was like, ‘OK, wait. We’ve got about eight or nine more weeks. We can’t have two Clares this season.’”
