Suze Orman Undergoes Surgery to Remove Tumor

Financial advisor Suze Orman is recovering after undergoing surgery to remove a tumor.

Late last month, Orman shared her diagnosis with listeners on her “Women and Money” podcast. The 69-year-old said, “They found a tumor on my spine that is benign… But it needs to come out immediately. So we will be getting on the plane and going to the top surgeon in the United States to do this surgery.”

Her team followed up with a Facebook update last week, writing, “After 12 hours of a very difficult and delicate surgery on Thursday, Suze came through with flying colors, even to the doctor's amazement. She is resting comfortably and now tackling her physical therapy homework! She is on the road to recovery and will be back soon! She loves your prayers and support… keep em coming!”

Her friend Sarah also shared an update on her Facebook page over the weekend: "Suze and I just got off a FaceTime, and I can tell you, one week from her surgery she is getting better and stronger every day. I cannot express how much Suze and [wife] KT (Kathy Travis) appreciate all of you for sharing your love and prayers with them.”

She later added, “She is at home in Florida resting, and of course, they have a hurricane coming right at them. However, they are safe and, as she says "old salty dogs" and they are prepared for it. She says she is looking forward to the storm clearing and the silver lining coming through on the other side."
