The Jayhawks Are Back with ‘XOXO’

The Jayhawks are one the most respected and revered Americana and original roots rock bands around, with a string of acclaimed albums since the early '90s.
Over the last 30 years, the band has become known for their gorgeous harmonies and soaring songcraft.
Now, they are back with “XOXO,” which features lead vocal and songwriting contributions from all four members — Gary Louris, Marc Perlman, Karen Grotberg and Tim O'Reagan. The album represents a new era for the Jayhawks, who have an unrelenting ability to evolve while still remaining true to their authentic sound.
“Extra” Senior Music Correspondent Adam Weissler spoke with Gary, who is quarantining from home.
