Iconic adult-film star Ron Jeremy is facing sexual assault charges involving four victims, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.
The 67-year-old — real name Ronald Jeremy Hyatt — is facing “three counts each of forcible rape and forcible penetration by a foreign object and one count each of forcible oral copulation and sexual battery.”
The D.A. alleges Jeremy forcibly raped a 25-year-old woman at a West Hollywood home in 2014, sexually assaulted two women, 33 and 46, on separate occasions at a West Hollywood bar in 2017, and forcibly raped a woman, 30, at the same bar in 2019.
According to a court document obtained by The L.A. Times, one victim alleges Jeremy separated her from her friends and raped her while she was intoxicated.
The D.A. will not be bringing charges over a 2016 incident due to lack of evidence.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is still investigating the case against Jeremy.
Jeremy’s arraignment is scheduled for Tuesday. If convicted on all charges, he could be facing a life sentence.
On Tuesday, he insisted he was innocent. Jeremy tweeted, “I am innocent of all charges. I can’t wait to prove my innocence in court! Thank you to everyone for all the support.”
Jeremy has faced similar allegations in the past. He refuted the accusations, and told Rolling Stone in 2017, “These allegations are pure lies or buyer's remorse. I have never and would never rape anyone. All serious allegations have been investigated by police and dismissed by judges, as have most of the accusations of ‘groping.’ I have never been charged nor spent one day in court for any of this.”
Jeremy, voted by Adult Video News the #1 porn actor of all time, has appeared in more than 2,000 adult movies and is known as "the Hedgehog." He has made numerous appearances in non-porn projects, from music videos to reality series to the mainstream movies "52 Pick-Up" (1986) and "The Boondock Saints" (1999), and was the subject of the 2001 documentary "Porn Star: The Legend of Ron Jeremy."
