It was another big night for Brad Pitt as he was honored with the Maltin Modern Master Award at the 2020 Santa Barbara International Film Festival.
“Extra’s” Renee Bargh spoke with Pitt, who said, “I've been spending time here since '99. I spend a lot of time here with friends and the kids… It feels homey to me.”
Of the special honor, which recognizes someone whose accomplishments in the motion picture industry enrich society, Brad commented, “This is... I've never done one of these. It's kind of like looking back on your career, so we'll see how that works.”
Past recipients include Denzel Washington, Ben Affleck, Will Smith, George Clooney, Cate Blanchett and Glenn Close, so he was in good company.
Just days ago, Pitt joked about his Tinder profile during his SAG acceptance speech, but it looks like we’ll never find him on the app. He said, “No, I’m not on it… I’m not even sure how it works. I just thought it was funny to say.”
Pitt also revealed who he’s rooting for at Super Bowl LIV. At the SAG Awards, the 55-year-old wore a Kansas City Chiefs hat, so is it safe to say that’s his favorite to win? Brad answered, “There's no question! Yes, yes, yes. It would have been a problem if it was a Chiefs-Saints game. That would have hurt, yeah!”
