Jennifer Lopez is expanding her beauty empire with a new fragrance, and heading to the Super Bowl for a “really special” halftime show.
Only “Extra’s” Nate Burleson, a former NFL pro, was with J.Lo right after it was announced she will perform with Shakira in February at the 2020 Super Bowl in Miami.
Lopez yelled, “Super Bowl halftime show! I can say it out loud now.” She revealed, “It’s going to be a big party — you know, me, Shakira, the Super Bowl stage… We are bringing out all the tricks. We’re going to have some amazing surprises as well. You know, Miami, it’s our town, it’s a very Latino town. We’re going to have a mix of English and Spanish. It’s going to be really special.”
The singer was fresh off walking the runway at Paris Fashion Week for Versace in an updated version of her iconic 2000 Grammy Awards dress.
Lopez admitted she didn’t realize how big the moment would be, and neither did Donatella Versace. “We didn’t know, again, how amazing it was going to be until it happened.” She added, “It was a real authentic, organic moment celebrating something she had done… we had done together.”
The 50-year-old recently revealed she would like to have children with her fiancé Alex Rodriguez. What do her 11-year-old twins Max and Emme think? “I think they would love to have a brother or sister… They love having [Alex’s daughters] Natasha and Ella in their lives and having two extra bonus sisters… We really form a beautiful blended family and I think they would all be thrilled.”
Sharing the inspiration behind her new fragrance, Promise, she said, “I heard this phrase, maybe about a year or two ago, from Warren Buffet actually. He said, ‘A friend is a promise.’ I think that’s who we are, we say to people, ‘This is who I am and I promise to be this way,’ and they can count on that and I just thought it was the perfect name for a fragrance. It’s inspiring… it not only smells delicious, but makes you feel sexy.”
Promise can be found at ULTA stores this weekend and on Ulta.com now.
