Katherine Schwarzenegger Talks Animal Rescue in First Interview Since Marrying ‘Incredible’ Chris Pratt

Only “Extra’s” Renee Bargh was with Katherine Schwarzenegger-Pratt doing one of her favorite things… working with animals at the NKLA Best Friends Animal Shelter.

Katherine opened up about animal rescue and talked about her wedding to Chris Pratt for the first time.

The star spent the day visiting dogs and volunteering at the NKLA adoption center, “I became more aware of everything that's going on in the rescue world when I rescued my little Maverick almost six years ago. And I've been made aware of all the amazing work Best Friends Animals Society is doing.” She added, “It's just about raising funds and awareness for shelter dogs all across the country.”

Schwarzenegger-Pratt said she has loved animals her whole life, “Growing up, I've just been a lover of all kinds of animals.”

Katherine also opened up about marrying Chris three months ago in Montecito, California. She told Renee the most memorable part of the wedding was “the whole experience,” she added, “I think most importantly that I'm lucky enough to be married to an incredible man, just be happy and I feel really blessed.”

The newlyweds enjoy sharing their lives on social media. Chris revealed on Instagram in June that his wife got him two pet Kune-Kune pigs, calling them, the “best birthday present ever.” Katherine told Renee, “I wanted to get them for him for his birthday because they're so cute but also there's an incredible farm where they can live and have a very happy life and can visit them.”
