Source: A$AP Rocky’s Family Is Optimistic He Will Soon Be Released

“Extra” has learned that A$AP Rocky, real name Rakim Mayers, could soon be released from a Swedish prison.
A$AP was in Stockholm to headline Smash x Stadion, a two-day hip-hop festival that began July 2, when he was arrested for an incident that reportedly occurred in the nation's capital on June 30.
According to NBC News, the Swedish Prosecution Authority said the two-time Grammy nominee was arrested after a street fight on "probable grounds for serious assault.”
He is accused of attacking two men, but the rapper posted videos and messages on his Instagram page accusing the two men of following and harassing him, and “slapping girls butts who passed.”
Officials said he would continue to be detained for two weeks while courts decide whether to prosecute.
Sources close to his family tell “Extra” that diplomatic progress is being made, and they are optimistic A$AP will be released in a few days.
