He shared on Instagram, “June 17th I asked my best friend to marry me. Our sleepless (mainly yours) nights… our endless laughs… and our countless jokes to each other now can be forever. Without you, our gym wouldn't be possible. Without you we wouldn't have a place to call home. Most importantly, without you, we wouldn't be complete.”
Marroquin continued, “Thank you for being the greatest mom to Eli and now (soon to be) stepmom to Lincoln. I feared not finding someone that would love me and linc the way you do. Never have I questioned that with you. Thank you for everything you do for this family. I can't believe I'm this lucky.”
Lauren showed off her engagement ring on Instagram. She gushed, “Meet my hunk of a FIANCÉ y'all! 💍06/17/19 the perfect day, with the perfect proposal. I couldn't have asked for anything more than walking the waterfront of my hometown with just my boys and my cousin stalking us in the trees.”
“I blow almost every surprise and this one got me, I didn't see it coming..even when Linc spotted my cousin hiding😂,” she admitted. “Thank you my love for this day, for our life, Im ready for whatever this crazy life throws at us as long as I got you😘 Heres to forever❤️.”
Two months ago on the “Teen Mom Time” podcast, Javi hinted that an engagement would be happening soon. He asked for her dad's permission, and said, “I have a plan, hopefully we stick to that plan. I do plan on [getting engaged] this year.”
The engagement comes seven months after Javi and Lauren welcomed son Eli. They had been on-and-off again since 2017.
Javi was previously married to “Teen Mom 2” star (and his son Lincoln's mom) Kailyn Lowry. They called it quits in 2015. They have a blended family, but It doesn't seem like Lauren and Kailyn are friends.
Kailyn recently accused Lauren of using the “Teen Mom” platform for financial gain, saying, “I hope she loves the check from the platform we've given her… And it is really irritating to see and um, you know, I've said it before — like, I just don't think she needs to be a part of the show.”
