Jessica and Jerry Seinfeld celebrated their Good + Foundation Wednesday night in NYC, where the comedian opened up to “Extra” about whether he would consider a “Seinfeld” reboot.
He told us, “I really don’t imagine that, I cannot imagine that.” He also isn’t into the idea of a spin-off with any of the characters, saying, “Can’t imagine that... The characters are created by the writing staff. Without the writing staff, you don’t have that person.”
Father’s Day is right around the corner, and Jerry joked, “I just hope they remember.”
Jessica chimed in, “I have the best present. We started this thing where we are not buying gifts anymore, we write letters.” Jerry couldn’t put into words what he has received in the letters, saying, “I’d burst into tears if I repeated it. It’s nice things... give up the presents.”
The couple is proud of what they have accomplished with Good + Foundation. Jessica said, “It started out with no real plan, as a weekend drive, and here we are 18 years later.” She added, “We have been helping single moms for years and years… You really can help single moms when you support men and you support fathers in this country, which is not being done. So we really took it upon ourselves to be the ones to run with it, and it’s been extraordinary.”
