In November, a judge ruled to deport Joe Giudice once he completes his prison sentence.
At the time, Teresa told “Extra’s” AJ Calloway that they were planning to appeal, but that she wasn’t making any plans for the future. She said, “I’m just taking it day by day. I don’t live in the future. If you asked me when I started the show, I used get that question all the time, 'Where do you see yourself five years for now?' Successful. Not going to prison."
According to People magazine, Teresa revealed that they would go their “separate ways” if he is deported during a Season 9 reunion taping of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey.”
A source shared, “Teresa told Andy that if Joe gets deported, she’s not going. She said that she and Joe had talked about it over the phone, and that he understood.”
Another insider added, “She didn’t really express any sadness about that. She just focused instead on the girls. It was very matter of fact.”
It appears that Teresa has had a change of heart since the last reunion episode, where she mulled over the possibility of his deportation. At the time, she told her castmates, “I mean, Italy’s a beautiful place to live. I wouldn’t mind, you know, I’m just saying. Listen, whatever God has planned for me, that’s what’s going to happen. I will embrace it the best I can.”
Joe is currently serving a 41-month sentence for mail, wire, and bankruptcy fraud. He is set to be released this year.
Meanwhile, Teresa has continued to appear on "RHONJ." In last night's episode fans got to see her compete in her first body building contest. The toned and tanned star gave it her all in a sparkly purple bikini and took third place. Watch!
