On Thursday, “Extra’s” Mark Wright caught up with Eva Mendez as she debuted her New York & Company line in Los Angeles.
Mendes has always been private when it comes to her children with Ryan Gosling, but pointed out that it was too late of a night to bring their little ones, Esmeralda and Amada. She said, “It’s probably dinnertime right now and getting close to bedtime, so they are home.”
Eva and Ryan don’t give each other fashion advice, but she did get a glimpse into their life as parents, saying, “No, it’s more like, 'Baby, you have vomit on that jacket —no I swear, it could be, it’s vomit.’”
At the fashion show, Eva put her own spin on the runway with diverse models, including a dog and a man who wore a dress. Eva said, “It was really fun. To have a boy in your show makes it more fun, or to have him, he just brought such a great energy and stuff and he looked really good.”
Of the adorable dog appearing at the end of the show, Eva gushed, “She was such a beautiful dog and really helped tell the story… Girl’s Best Friend — that’s the name of the short. Kinda do a play on words.”
Eva went on Instagram to announce that proceeds from the short will go to Cesar Millan's charity Pack Project.
As for her “amazing collaboration” with New York & Company, she said, “People use that word a lot, partnership, collaboration. This is a real one and I just love working with New York & Company. If they give me a few more years, I’ll happily be there.”
