The 51-year-old gushed, “Yeah, we love him. We're lucky.”
Jason is currently promoting his new movie with director Jon Turtletaub about a killer shark dubbed “The Meg.” Of Jason's character, the director shared, “The antagonist actually speaks less than he does.”
Jason plays a rescue diver out to save people in a sunken sub. Turtletaub commented, “We flew a banner over a bunch of beaches in the U.S. on the Fourth of July. It said something like, 'Enjoy the ocean. We dare you.' Somebody at the studio said, 'We can't do that. It could scare a lot of people.' I said, 'Why did we make this movie?'"
Jason was not afraid of the deep blue sea, though, pointing out, “Getting into the water is just something I love… I'm a big scuba diver anyway. I recreationally do that wherever I am in the world.”
