Christian Rocker Nathan Johnson's Wife Dies Hours After Giving Birth
Christian musician Nathan Johnson, who plays guitar for the band Meaning Machine, lost his wife Megan this week just hours after she gave birth to their daughter, Eilee.
People magazine reports Megan had a "normal and uneventful delivery" Tuesday morning, but less than nine hours later, she suffered complications and died.
According to Nathan's bandmate Josh Wilson, there were no signs of trouble; the couple's parents and grandparents went home to sleep thinking all was well.
Megan had received a heart transplant seven years ago and had been diagnosed with congestive heart failture, but according to Wilson, doctors had told the couple her condition would not be an issue during pregnancy and she was monitored throughout.
After Megan gave birth, Nathan posted a picture of her holding Eilee, writing, "Happy Birthday Eilee Kate Johnson. Megan was/is a professional and feels great. Her heart worked perfectly the whole time and Eilee introduced herself quickly and smooth. I am a rich man!!!"

There is no cause of death yet.
Wilson told People, "He's up and down. Of course his baby girl is a wonderful gift, so there is a lot of joy, but then there is the deepest kind of sorrow because of Megan... They were so in love."
A GoFundMe page has raised nearly $400,000 for Johnson and his daughter.
