Janelle Monáe Makes Stunning Red-Carpet Debut at Oscars

Janelle Monáe is taking risks on the Oscars red carpet… and it's paying off!
The “Moonlight” and “Hidden Figures” actress, who will be a presenter on the show, stepped out in a jaw-dropping Elie Saab gown.
The black tulle dress had beautiful gold, black and white brooches, birds, sequins, beads, feathers and crystals. In her hair, she wore a matching beaded headband. The look was styled by Maeve Reilly.
For Janelle's makeup, she went with a natural look with gold shades.
Before getting ready for the show, the singer and actress wanted to document her feelings in an Instagram video, sharing, “As a little girl, I always dreamt about going to the Oscars. I get to go today. I get to be in a room of true artists, people who have inspired me along the years. It was the arts that kept me out of trouble, gave me an opportunity to walk in my purpose, and for that I am forever indebted and grateful to the universe.”
