The details of Kim Kardashian's robbery keep getting scarier.
Sources tell TMZ that the reality star was in bed at her two-story apartment in Paris, wearing only a robe, when she heard boots pounding up the stairs.
Kim caught a glimpse of two men through a sliding glass door, one in a mask and the other in a police hat, and tried to call her bodyguard.
Before she could complete the call, the men were in the room, yanking the phone from her and restraining her hands with zip ties, plastic handcuffs, and duct tape.
When they grabbed her ankles, she reportedly told police she thought she was going to be raped. Instead, the intruders duct-taped her ankles and put her in the bathtub.
That's when insiders say she began screaming and begging for her life. She told them they could take whatever they wanted. Although the attackers didn't speak English, they kept saying “ring, ring.” She assumed they wanted the ring husband Kanye West had just given her, and told them where it was.
When she wouldn't stop crying, the men bound her mouth with duct tape.
According to TMZ, a friend was sleeping downstairs. When she heard the commotion she called a bodyguard named Pascal and Kim's sister Kourtney. The robbers were gone by the time they arrived.
The men reportedly stole roughly $10 million worth of jewelry, including a ring and jewelry box.
DailyMail.com reports two of the robbers had been following Kardashian around town, days before the heist. A source close to the investigation claimed, "Kim Kardashian was tailed for at least three days before the robbery. We know there was one man who pretended to be a photographer who followed the American celebrity on a motorbike to find out her whereabouts. Another man pretended to be a plain-clothed detective to try to get a seat next to her at the exclusive Ferdi restaurant on Thursday night.”
The insider went on, "But both men were fakes. The photographer tried to listen in to the conversations by other snappers but he was challenged by the genuine ones. And the so-called policeman fled when staff at Ferdi asked to see his credentials.”
The French police are currently mulling over the possibilities of how the robbery happened, even questioning Kim's own security team. A source said, "French police suspect that the five alleged robbers had some contact with her security and were tipped off about her procedures. They knew there was no security [with her inside her apartment that night]. All they had to do was go in, make contact with someone inside the hotel. They have issues with the story of more than one worker at the hotel. They are also talking to bodyguards who worked with her earlier in the week.”
Back in July, the family addressed security issues on "Keeping Up with the Kardashians." Kourtney Kardashian expressed concerns about Kylie Jenner posting her location on Snapchat, especially because they believed a man had been stalking her. "There's been a guy following Kylie and she isn't taking it seriously," Kourtney said. "Kylie is so huge on social media. She's one of the most followed people on Snapchat, which shows your location instantly. It's not safe."
Kourtney added, "You know Kylie always posts and tags her location? Even the police told her to stop posting her location and she didn't."
Khloé suggested they pretend to hold up Kylie and gunpoint to "terrify" her and teach her a lesson, but the sisters opted for a softer approach instead. While out to lunch they had Kylie's car covered in balloons with her face on them.
