Son of ‘Real Housewives’ Star Arrested for Attempted Murder
The son of former “Real Housewives of Orange County” star Lauri Peterson was arrested on Monday for attempted murder, reports the OC Register.
Joshua Waring, 27, allegedly shot a man in the torso in Costa Mesa, and then fled from police in a stolen car. The chase ended in a standoff in Santa Ana.
Waring, who has a history of arrest, is facing charges of suspicion of attempted murder, vehicle theft, felony evading police and hit and run. His bail is set at $1 million.
The victim, Daniel Lopez, was hospitalized. His injuries are considered non-life-threatening.
Peterson left “RHOC” in 2008 to focus on Joshua and his daughter.
She told the Daily Dish last year, "As most of the viewers know, I have a son and he's had just a lot of challenges. And he and his wife had a baby almost three years ago. He's really struggling and, well, they're both really struggling. And so [my husband] George and I elected to help out and we actually adopted Kennedy, and so we're raising her."
