Director Tim Burton, 56, and actress Helena Bonham Carter, 48, have called it quits after 13 years together.
Carter's rep confirmed the news to People, saying the couple “separated amicably earlier this year and have continued to be friends and co-parent their children. We would ask that you respect their privacy and that of their children during this time.”
The pair, who never married, met on the set of “Planet of the Apes” in 2001, and went on to make numerous films together, including “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory,” “Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street,” “Alice in Wonderland” and “Dark Shadows.”
Tim and Helena have two children; Billy, 11, and Nell, 7.
