Meet the New ‘Bachelorette’ Desiree Hartsock

As Sean Lowe and Catherine Guidici ride off into the sunset, “ Bachelor” castoff Desiree Hartsock is preparing for her own journey as “The Bachelorette.”

Chris Harrison broke the news on Monday night's “After the Rose” special and invited the bridal stylist onstage to share her thoughts on the upcoming season.

“I can't even believe I'm here with the support of everyone, it's such a blessing. I feel so thankful and grateful," she said while tearing up. “I'm just overcome with happiness."

“You're crying now?" Harrison joked. "We're in for a long season together."

The 26-year-old said, "I do believe [in the show]. I'm ready, I'm open and I've seen it happen. I did realize that the feelings are real -- the emotions that you go through. It is a real relationship and I'm going to have many of them! I know that it can happen and one of them will be hopefully my true love, as cliché as it sounds."

She's not concerned about handling 25 men, either. "Oh, I can handle 'em. Yeah!"

"Bachelor" Sean told "Extra's" A.J. Calloway, "We saw her briefly last night, she doesn't need my advice, she's going to be great. She's a genuine girl. America already loves her."
