'Dancing' Stars Nearly Naked in Cyrochamber
"Extra" host Maria Menounos takes us behind the scenes at "Dancing with the Stars" to tell us how contestants heal their injuries so quickly with the latest pain treatment, cyrotherapy.
Maria said of her physical pain throughout the competition, "I've been an injured bird for weeks. Doing everything possible to stay in the competition… lasers and cyrotherapy has helped me so much."
Fellow "DWTS" contestant Katherine Jenkins was then spotted in a 200-degree below zero chamber during a cyrotherapy session. "Sing is what I do when I get cold," says the opera star, standing nude in the chamber.
Cyrotherapy is used to heal the contestant's sore spots by exposing them to very low temperatures, which releases molecules that fight inflammation and speed up the healing process.
