Adele Says Mariah Carey ‘Should Be in the Bible,’ Rants About Breastfeeding — Watch Video!
On Tuesday, Adele took a break from performing at her London concert to chat with her audience.
One of the big topics on her mind was Mariah Carey's recent interview with the Sunday Times about the importance of proper lighting. Carey explained, "I have to point out this is a rented house — I would never have overhead lighting. 'High hats,' they call them. In my apartment in New York, it's all recessed lighting, chandeliers, candles. This lighting is abusive.”
Adele asked the crowd, while draped in a British flag, “Did you read that article the other day where Mariah Carey called the lighting abusive? She is so biblical that lady. It's a joke. I absolutely adore her.” Watch!
After finding out that Mariah would be performing at the same venue the following day, she said, "She's here tomorrow? Oh, my God, I should leave a secret note for her. I think that she should be in the Bible.”
Adele also spoke about the difficulties of breastfeeding. She ranted, "Breastfeeding mummies? But you know what? The pressure on us is f*cking ridiculous!”
Before Adele continued with her concert, she sang "Happy Birthday to You" to one lucky fan.
