Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson Leaves the Door Open for Presidential Run
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has gone on record about possibly running for president, and now even his co-stars are regularly being asked about it!
“Extra's” Renee Bargh sat down with The Rock and his “Rampage” co-star Naomie Harris, who asked him, “Has that come from you? Because everyone is asking me about that! Have you actually said this?”
The Rock explained, “It goes back some time ago and I keep getting asked about that, so every time we do press, it starts to come back up... Especially now more than ever. So all I gotta say is that I gotta just learn. I'll go to work. Politics is not my business.”
When Naomie pressed him, asking, "But, you're not saying no?"
Dwayne clarified, “I would never say no, because what's happened is, that I care about our country and our American people, and I'm very flattered that there has been a good amount of people who want to see me run for president.”
He reiterated, “It's extremely flattering, but honestly I have so much respect for our public office. I know that I'm not in that business, so I have to learn as much as I possibly can about it. I always say, now, I'll go to work, learn, give me years, and then we'll come back and we'll talk about it.”
“Rampage” opens in theaters nationwide on Friday, April 13.
