ScarJo Comes for Ivanka!
"SNL" continued bashing President Trump Saturday night, but also kept it all in the family with an edgy, pre-taped clip targeting his daughter Ivanka!
Host Scarlett Johansson played Ivanka in a glamorous spot reminiscent of Charlize Theron's ads for Dior J'Adore. "SNL" dubbed Ivanka's signature fragrance Complicit, for "the woman who could stop all this — but won't."
In the ad, ScarJo serenely coasts through a high-end party as Cecily Strong narrates, saying, "Every man knows her name, every woman knows her face. When she walks into a room, all eyes are on her — she's... Ivanka. And a woman like her deserves a fragrance all her own, a scent made just for her. Because she's beautiful, she's powerful, she's... Complicit."
Further hammering home the idea that Ivanka is just a prettier version of her father, the voiceover continues, "She doesn't crave the spotlight, but we see her — oh, how we see her," as Ivanka gazes at a reflection of herself in the mirror. The reflection is revealed to be Alec Baldwin in Trump drag.
Female cast members Vanessa Bayer, Aidy Bryant and Melissa Villaseñor look on as Ivanka is lauded as, "A feminist, an advocate, a champion for women, but ... like ... how?"
A final zinger, as the voiceover gets more and more hostile: "Also, I bet when she watches 'Titanic,' she thinks she's Rose. Sorry, girl, you're Billy Zane."
