Alan Jackson’s Son-in-Law Ben Selecman, 28, Dies After Tragic Accident
Samuel “Ben” Selecman, the son-in-law of country singer Alan Jackson, has died. He was 28.
Jackson announced the news on his website, revealing Ben “died unexpectedly” after he “suffered severe traumatic head injuries in a fall.”
The Miami Herald says Selecman fell off a dock in Jupiter, Florida, while helping a woman onto a boat. DailyMail.com reports he was hospitalized for more than a week leading up to his death.
Selecman lived in Nashville and was an attorney with the Tennessee District Attorney's Office. He wed Jackson's eldest daughter Mattie last October.
Ben is survived by wife Mattie, his parents Mark and Brenda Selecman, and his brother Cole and his wife, Morgan.
