'RHONJ' Star Kim DePaola's Car Used in Double Murder
Kim DePaola of "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" thanked fans for their support Sunday after it was reported that her car was involved in two deaths that police are treating as a double homicide in Paterson, New Jersey.
NorthJersey.com quotes Capt. Richard Reyes as saying, "I can't tell you why we are treating it as a homicide, but we are treating it as a homicide."
Police, responding to a call regarding gunshots fired on E. 28th St. in Paterson arrived to find the car ablaze with two bodies in the trunk. The bodies were burned beyond recogition, NBC reports, and had been shot in the head execution-style.
TMZ reports that the car was regularly driven by Kim's son Chris. Also according to TMZ, a friend of Chris', 27-year-old Aaron Anderson, dropped him at the airport Wednesday and had possession of the car after that.
Chris, who is safe, has been unable to reach Anderson. Anderson's mother told NBC, "I've been calling him and it's going to voicemail. I would have heard from him.”
DePaola wrote a note of thanks to her fans on Instagram Sunday afternoon, People magazine reports. In it, she expressed her "deepest condolences" to the families of the victims of "this truly horrific tragedy," writing that she is "humbled by the outpour of love and support during this very difficult time."
