Avril Lavigne Defends Chad Kroeger, Calls Out Mark Zuckerberg
Singer Avril Lavigne is firing back at Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg after he took a jab at her husband, Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger.
In a new promotional video for the Jarvis home artificial intelligence system, Zuckerberg asks Jarvis to play some good Nickelback songs. Jarvis responds to the request, saying, “I'm sorry, Mark, I can't do that. There are no good Nickelback songs.”
After seeing the video, Lavigne took to Twitter to directly confront Zuckerberg, saying, “Dear Mark, Many people use your products — some people love them and some people don't. Either way, you're allowed your musical opinion however, your jab at Nickelback is in poor taste.”
She went on, "When you have a voice like yours, you may want to consider being more responsible with promoting bullying, especially given what's going on in the world today."
Lavigne ended her note with the hashtags "#SayNoToBullying #TheJokeIsOld #NickelbackHasSoldOver50MillionAlbums."
In February it was revealed that Avril and Chad reconciled after separating last year.
