Kirstie Alley Confesses to Jennifer Lawrence Obsession

On Tuesday, Alley spoke to “Extra's” AJ Calloway at our H&M studios in Times Square, where she opened up on her obsession with J.Law, shedding 50 pounds, getting naked for Netflix, and dating.

When asked who her girl crush is, Alley was quick to answer. She gushed, “I wouldn't call it a crush, but I would call it an obsession… Jennifer Lawrence. She's the girl I want to be. When she came on the scene, I was like, 'Why can't I be this girl?' I am obsessed with her… She's the it girl.”

Though Jennifer piques her interest, others are not having much luck. Kirstie admitted she still hasn't found the one. “I've been going out with some people and they're boring!”

Kirstie may not be winning in the dating scene, but she's definitely succeeding in her weight-loss goals. She poked fun of herself by saying that she lost “a couple of kids” off her body, “a couple of first-graders!”

Though she joked about her weight, Alley is more than serious about keeping the fifty pounds off for good. “I've lost weight before, I've gained weight before and at some point… Just really get the idea of how you want to do this and how you want to live the rest of your life… I just decided that this time this is how I want to live the rest of my life.”

The 64-year-old has been able to drop the weight with the help of Jenny Craig. She said, “Well, Jenny Craig worked for me because I need to be held accountable a little bit… And so when you sign up for Jenny Craig… everybody gets a personal consultant.” Revealing she has learned a lot about food and portion control, she said, “I think the thing that I really started observing is how much food people are served, especially in restaurants.”

Alley will be part of a new Jenny Craig commercial, teaming up with her "Cheers” co-stars John Ratzenberger and George Wendt. Though it was a sweet reunion, she is not down for a reboot of the iconic series. “No! We're not revamping Cheers, we're not recasting.”
