During an appearance on Australia's “Today” show, Bublé shared, “It sucks and it still sucks. What we went through is the worst possible thing you can hear as a parent and maybe as a human being.”
“I much rather would have it have been me. Many times I wish that it had been,” Michael admitted. There were a million times when my wife and I were just surviving, struggling to survive, and to breathe. Some days when we wished we didn't wake up, when we did, we felt the love of those people.”
While holding back tears, the 43-year-old said, “We knew they were praying for us, we knew that there was goodness out there. It gave us faith in humanity.”
Bublé took a break from his career for two years while Noah, 5, was fighting cancer.
As for how the cancer battle has changed him, Michael shared, “I've been through a lot. One of the things about going through something that my family has been through is that it gives you great perspective and one of those points of perspective is that it really allows you to appreciate the good things.”
