The star of Netflix's "The Politician" was celebrated on her special day by hubby Brad Falchuk, who posted a less nude shot of Paltrow relaxing on a sofa, writing of her, "This badass is 48 today. She makes pizza from scratch, is never late for cocktail hour, makes looking good annoyingly easy and never skips an opportunity to put an asshole in his place. She makes friends feel like family and family feel like friends. Trust me, she's the best. Happy, happy, happy birthday, Beauty. I love you."

Falchuk, who tied the knot with Paltrow two years ago this month, also used the occasion to implore everyone to vote on November 3.
