Vivica A. Fox Teases There Could Be More ‘Empire,’ and Talks Closure with Ex 50 Cent
“Empire” star Vivica A. Fox, who is quarantining at her home, spoke with “Extra's” Cheslie Kryst today about the series finale of the show, airing Tuesday night.
Vivica, who plays Taraji P. Henson's older sister Candace on the show, told Cheslie she's going to be surprised to see what happens because production on the last episode was shut down before filming. The star explained, “It was a bummer because we were in the middle of being able to film the last episode, so I too, like everyone else tomorrow night, can't wait to see how we are going to say goodbye.”
Fox teased fans may be seeing more, adding, “I just want to leave you with a little somethin' somethin'… it may not be over.”
When Cheslie added that series creator Lee Daniels had said publicly that we may see an alternate ending at some point, Vivica shared, “That's the thing, we are all going to be excited to see how they end it, and the fans have been so loyal to the show for six seasons, we just don't want to leave them hanging, so stay tuned!”
Vivica has also been busy with a new podcast, “Hustling with Vivica,” and on her first show she revealed that her ex fiancé, 50 Cent, aka Curtis Jackson, used to call her “first wife,” as her nickname.
She told Cheslie, “Me sharing that with everyone was closure for me. There was nothing malicious with it. I will always have love for him. I always wish him well, but it was time for that chapter in my life to close. I was really grateful that people now have clarity in what happened with that love story because they were so fascinated with it… more fascinated than I was!”

The series finale of “Empire” airs Tuesday at 9 p.m. on Fox.
