Jimmy Fallon Teases Golden Globes 2017 — Who Are the Big Surprise Guests?
As Jimmy Fallon gets ready to host this Sunday's 74th Golden Globes, he spoke to “Extra's” Charissa Thompson about what to expect from the star-studded extravaganza.
Fallon is amped up for the show, teasing, “I'm so excited … It's gonna be fun! I'm really really excited… And we're doing a cold opening. They've never done a cold opening like a sketch, and it's good.”
Fallon broke some big news about some of the surprise celeb guests, smiling while saying, “I don't want to spoil anything, but a lot of people are in it… Ryan Reynolds… it's really, really… Tina Fey… but it's gonna be good.”
The Golden Globes is where movie and TV stars collide. He added, “Leo DiCaprio's gonna be here, Travolta's gonna be here, the good thing about the Globes is if you haven't seen any of the movies, don't worry about it, 'cause you have seen TV and they're here as well, so it's a good mash-up of both.”
Jimmy's big week doesn't end Sunday night either — he landed the last late-night interview with First Lady Michelle Obama, scheduled for next Wednesday. “The whole show is dedicated to her. We have shenanigans and fun games and we have a special musical guest.”
The NBC host is also ready to welcome Megyn Kelly to the family after the former Fox News anchor signed a deal with NBC News. He gushed, “Love Megyn Kelly. She's been on our show many times, super fun. Super excited about this.”
