Hope Solo Emotional Farewell: 'I'm Very Proud of Who I Am'
Moments after "Dancing with the Stars" said goodbye to contestant Hope Solo, "Extra" special correspondent Tony Dovolani spoke exclusively with the emotional soccer star.
"Tears are okay. I'm human," said Solo, who was comforted by Dovolani.
Solo and partner Maks Chmerkovskiy had a few run-ins with the judges during Season 13. She explained, "I just don't feel like the world got to see the real me, but that's okay. 'Cause I'm going to go back to my world where I can be myself and be respected."
Did she think her emotions got the best of her? "Nothing got the best of me. I'm very proud of who I am. At the end of the day, I had to stay true to myself."
Meanwhile, the three remaining semi-finalists -- Rob Kardashian, Ricki Lake and J.R. Martinez -- are headed back to the rehearsal studio for the big finale next week.
Frontrunner Martinez, who faltered this week due to an ankle injury, said he's going to give it his all. "You know what? I don't know how [the ankle] is going to do. But at this point, one week left, everything has to come out of the bag."
"I can't even believe I'm here," marveled Kardashian, who told Dovolani his family is "shocked... who would've thought?" If Kardashian wins the mirrored ball trophy, where will he put it? "I'll probably put it in my mom's house."
And for Lake, who has dropped three dress sizes, she's just itching to go shopping for new clothes. "As soon as this thing is over I plan on going to the latest sales rack!"
Tune in next week on "Dancing with the Stars" to see who wins the big prize!
