Katharine McPhee on 1st Anniversary with David Foster, Plus: She Talks ‘Idol’ & ‘Smash’ Reunion
Katharine McPhee and David Foster's first wedding anniversary likely won't go as planned.
“Extra's” Renee Bargh caught up with Kat, who revealed her original plans for the marriage milestone. Kat also dished on her “Smash” reunion and the latest season of “American Idol.”
Chatting about her June anniversary, McPhee revealed, “I don't think we'll be flying on a plane to London, which was my original idea. I wanted to fly to London and go back to the place where we got married, but it's OK. You've got to kind of just go with the flow, and whatever it is, we'll have a nice way to celebrate.”
As far as life in quarantine with her hubby, she said, “It's so far, so good.”
Kat, who was a runner-up on “American Idol,” was watching this season. She told Renee she couldn't imagine having to compete from home. “If that had been me and this was the time… I don't think I would've gotten past the first few rounds.”
Kat's fans can also check out the never-before-seen Marilyn Monroe musical from her TV show “Bombshell,” airing tonight on People.com. The cast will virtually reunite at intermission to benefit The Actors Fund.
McPhee said the reunion will include “Debra Messing, me, and Megan [Hilty] and Christian Boyle and all the original cast.”
She added, “We went on Zoom and it was really, really, truly exciting… We had a lot of laughs and good memories to recall. You never know... We may have a reboot!”
