Céline Dion Is Covering a Queen Song and Receiving Icon Award at Billboard Music Awards
Later this month, Céline Dion will be honored with the Icon Award at the 2016 Billboard Music Awards. It will be her first TV performance since her husband René Angélil's death in January.
After receiving the award, Dion will also be performing a special rendition of Queen's song “The Show Must Go On.” Executive producer Mark Bracco said in a statement, “Céline Dion has a huge repertoire of monster hits and she personally chose to perform 'The Show Must Go On' as her ICON performance on the Billboard Music Awards. I think at this moment in her life, the song has many meanings and it's an amazing choice.”
The Icon award is a lifetime achievement award given to an artist whose talent has stood the test of time.
To catch the show, tune in on May 22 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on ABC.
