Jessa Seewald Tries to Induce Labor with a Pineapple
Duggar daughter Jessa Seewald is due to give birth this weekend, but she hasn't exactly been waiting patiently for the pitter-patter of little feet.
Yesterday, the reality star posted a picture of herself with a pineapple on her Instagram, asking, "So has anyone else tried the 'eating an entire fresh pineapple' thing for helping to bring on labor? Apparently it doesn't work for everyone, 'cause I ate the whole thing yesterday... and still no signs of labor!"
An old wives' tale asserts that eating a pineapple will induce labor, but there is no medical evidence that it works.

The previous day, anxious Jessa had posted a photo showing off her massive baby bump, writing that she was feeling "as big as a barn, and soooo ready to meet my baby!"
It seems Jessa and her husband Ben Seewald will have to wait until their baby is good and ready. If the baby is a few days late, Jessa might wind up with an extra-special reason to celebrate her 23rd birthday on November 4.
