Beyoncé is making history as the coveted cover star of Vogue's most popular mag, the September issue.
Bey is only the second woman of color to have graced the September issue. The first was Halle Berry in 2010. Rumors were swirling that Queen B would make the cut, and the magazine confirmed Wednesday with a sneak peek of the photo shoot.

Designer Marc Jacobs was one of the main stylists responsible for her cover look, and praised her highness. “The word diva is used for so many female performers, and it often means they have reputations for being difficult, but she exudes charm and a lovable quality.”
On the cover, Beyoncé is styled with a haunting, sultry, Old Hollywood flavor. Her hair is dripping wet, reminiscent of her “Drunk in Love” video, and she wears a dusty rose color, which complements the deep maroon accent piece and golden Vogue letters.
Inside, designer Stella McCartney comments on the power of this star's look, “She's the whole package: primal, rare, delicate, beautiful, and powerful… her appeal crosses art forms, genders, and generations.”
