Sean Hannity Talks Kanye West for President, Donald Trump Impeachment Hearings, and More
“Extra's” Billy Bush sat down with Fox News's Sean Hannity on the set of his hit show, "Hannity."
Sean is always keeping his eye on politics, weighing in on Kanye West saying he will run for president in 2024.
Hannity said, “Kanye West is an American original. Here's a guy that's willing to share — even though people will criticize him — his love for God… I love that.”
He went on, “Next thing, Kanye West and Kim Kardashian, they go to Donald [Trump]'s office,” recalling how they helped free Alice Murray Johnson. He called her release from prison “one of the most beautiful moments of television” as “she said, 'Thank you, President Trump, thank you America, for giving me a second chance. I will never let you down.'”
Sean continued, “They worked with Jared Kushner and the President, and they got prison reform done, which by the way will help thousands of people down the road and give them a better life. Then the guy goes to Houston, he goes in two days early so he can stop at the prison and spend time with the men and the women. You see women on television crying because Kanye took the time to spend with them. Very cool, loved it all.”
Billy told Hannity it sounds like he's in support of Kanye running for office. Sean responded, “He does not give a flying bleep at all what other people think — he likes Trump, he fights for Alice Murray Johnson, he's gonna work with people, he actually got great stuff done, and for young people who admire Kanye that might actually say, 'Maybe I need God in my life now?' Well done.”
The 57-year-old TV and radio host is looking and feeling good. “I'm in the best shape I've ever been in my life,” he said, telling Billy about his regimen, “I train five days a week, 90 minutes a day. I do mixed martial arts. It's an eclectic blend of arts. Krav Maga. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, boxing, street fighting.” Billy commented, “You're lean. You're like a bean pole.” Sean smiled, saying, “This is what people say when you go out. 'Hannity, you look taller, skinnier, and younger in person.' So I'm like... 'Oh, so I'm a fa,t old, short guy on TV.'"
He's keeping in shape and keeping the ratings up on “Hannity,” as the program continues to be the number one-rated show in all of cable news, the impeachment hearings scoring big ratings for the network as well. His take on the proceedings? “I'll tell you where I think it's going: nowhere.” He went on to say, “I've never seen something built out of nothing like this in my life.”
When Billy complimented him on the ratings boom, Hannity joked he's the “biggest troublemaker in cable news.”
"Hannity" airs weekdays at 9 p.m. on Fox News.
