Ryan Gosling ‘Look-alike’ Crashes German Award Show! See His Acceptance Speech
A not-so-convincing Ryan Gosling wannabe crashed the Goldene Kamera awards in Germany over the weekend, accepting a “La La Land” award on the star's behalf.
The “look-alike” was part of an elaborate scheme by comedians Joko Winterscheidt and Klaas Heufer-Umlauf. According to DailyMail.com, the pranksters set up a fake agency pretending to represent Gosling, and then promised to get the heartthrob to the show.
When host Steven Gaetjen introduced Ryan, an imposter walked out instead, even doing a little “La La Land”-esque dance move on his way to the microphone. Fast forward to the 11 minute mark to see him take the stage.
The fake Gosling, later revealed to be a cook from Munich named Ludwig Lehner, greeted the audience, “Good evening, I am Ryan Gosling! I dedicate this award to Joko and Klass, thank you very much.” He ended with, “There is a saying in Hamburg, which is, 'Bye-bye!'”
No one seemed fooled by the act, including stars like Nicole Kidman, Colin Farrell and Jane Fonda, who were seated in the crowd.
Gaetjen followed up by admitting there had been a mistake.
