New Report Alleges Matt Lauer Had Affair with Fellow NBC Star
Matt Lauer was spotted in the Hamptons this week, as new cheating allegations were leveled against him.
The New York Post has dropped a bombshell headline: “Matt Lauer Had an Affair with a Well-Respected NBC Star.” Lauer has not commented on the allegation.
The paper's Page Six reports the woman was a “famed” broadcaster who then left NBC. It is unclear if it is the same person Ronan Farrow quoted in his book “Catch and Kill.”
In his book, Farrow reports an unnamed woman, who left the network in 2012, claims she was propositioned by Lauer and a former senior executive at NBC.

After she declined Matt's advances, the woman claims her career took a “sharp nosedive.” She signed a nondisclosure agreement when she left the network.
Last week, details from “Catch and Kill” made headlines. In the book, Brooke Nevils, one of Meredith Vieira's former assistants, claims Lauer raped her in his hotel room while both were in the Russian city of Sochi for the 2014 Winter Olympics.
Lauer denied the claims, but admitted to infidelity. In a statement to “Extra,” he said, “In a new book, it is alleged that an extramarital, but consensual, sexual encounter I have previously admitted having, was in fact an assault. It is categorically false, ignores the facts, and defies common sense.” Read his full statement here.
