The Weeknd Set to Headline Super Bowl Halftime Show
“Blinding Lights” singer The Weeknd is heading to Tampa Bay for the 2021 Pepsi Super Bowl LV Halftime Show!
In a statement, The Weeknd said on Thursday, “We all grow up watching the world’s biggest acts playing the Super Bowl and one can only dream of being in that position. I’m humbled, honored and ecstatic to be the center of that infamous stage this year.”
The show will be produced by Roc Nation and DPS.
Roc Nation head JAY-Z said, “The Weeknd has introduced a sound all his own. His soulful uniqueness has defined a new generation of greatness in music and artistry. This is an extraordinary moment in time and the Pepsi Super Bowl LV Halftime Show is going to be an extraordinary experience with an extraordinary performer.”

The night before, The Weeknd teased the big announcement with a cryptic Instagram post.
The Weeknd will be joining an elite list of performers to headline the Super Halftime Show, including Jennifer Lopez, Shakira, Justin Timberlake, Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars, Beyoncé, Madonna and Coldplay.
